Twenty two year old Brazilian KO queen Amanda Nunes is a bone fide bad ass female fighter. She was born in Salvador Bahia Brazil where she was raised by her mother and lived with her brothers and sisters. Amanda never fought as an amateur; her first fight was as a pro in 2008. After knocking her opponent down Amanda was overly aggressive and attempted to finish the fight on the ground but was caught in an armbar and submitted.
Nunes has never tasted defeat again. Since her first fight she’s reeled off four consecutive wins all by either KO or TKO. Her last fight was in the StrikeForce Challanger Series where she decimated Julia Budd in an incredibly brief and brutal 14 seconds.
MMATODAY was at AMA fight club last Friday and saw Nunes training. She’s extremely talented and hard working; she was giving as good as she was getting in AMA’s UFC fighter laden training room.
Nunes has recently been added to the tough hyper talented roster of pro fighters at AMA. Keep an eye on this very talented and pretty (marketable) fighter. Surely great success is in her future.
